BREATHWORK

Breathwork involves conscious active breathing patterns that are used to help release trapped emotions in the body. Through breathwork we are able to unhook from the constant chatter of the mind and access the emotional body to help process unresolved trauma, pain and grief. By taking in increased levels of oxygen through the breath we access deeper levels of physical healing and equilibrium, helping restore health and vitality back into the body.


Active breathing is incredibly powerful, however it is important to understand that it is not suitable for everyone. We are all wired very differently and I understand each individual's window of tolerance is not alike. Sometimes active breathing can in fact re-traumatise a person's nervous system if not exercised with caution and understanding of their needs. I work with your body at the level it is capable of - inbetween the space of growth and comfort - moving at a pace that is right for you and thereby giving you choice and sovereignty on your path to healing through the breath.


There are many benefits to breathwork people may experience, here are just a few

Physical -

  • Increased energy levels
  • Relieves chronic pain
  • Improves sleep
  • Releases toxins from the body
  • Improves digestion
  • Lowers blood pressure and heart rate
  • Improve immune system function
  • Reduces inflammation

Mental - 

  • Reduces anxiety, stress and depression
  • Increases focus and creativity
  • Creates feelings of euphoria
  • Clears the mind of mental chatter
  • Releases trapped emotions

Spiritual - 

  • Strengthens intuition
  • Increases self awareness
  • Helps to access your higher knowing (or higher self)
  • opens the heart and throat centres (our centres of love and expression)
